Factor VII (FVII) is a vitamin K-dependent coagulation factor. It is synthesized in the liver and secreted into the circulation. It plays a major role in initiation of blood coagulation. Factor VII deficiency is associated with a bleeding tendency. Clinical signs in affected dogs include mild to severe bleeding after trauma or surgery.
